Biography
I was born in Fresno, California and shortly afterwards my family moved “back home” to Watertown, NY in upstate New York. I attended college at State University of New York at Canton where I met my wife, Carol. Carol and I have been happily married for 21 years and we have 4 children, Sam, Laura, Grace and Coleman.
During the early years of our marriage, Carol and I would sporadically attend church. We did this for the benefit of our two older children, who at the time we felt needed that religious foundation. During a new members class at church, I heard the Gospel for the first time very clearly. I responded to that call from God in my repentance and His forgiveness transformed my life. I was born again in the fall of 1998.
I graduated from SUNY at Canton and I am currently attending Moody Bible Institute pursuing a degree in Biblical Studies. My desire is to continue my educational pursuit and use it to God’s glory. Early in my Christian walk, I found a solid Bible teaching local church where I grew in the love and knowledge of God and His Holy Word. It was early on in my Christian life that I realized the call God was making on my life to teach and preach His Word. Then, during a time of transition, I helped to plant another Bible teaching church locally. Then God, in His perfect wisdom, brought us to Olmsted Falls Baptist Church (OFBC) in late 2006. I was ordained into pastoral ministry in March 2007 and currently hold the position of Pastor/Teacher. The people of OFBC are hungry and eager for God’s word! It is a privilege and joy to shepherd this local congregation.
Key Scripture
We proclaim Him, admonishing every man and teaching every man with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete in Christ. For this purpose also I labor, striving according to His power, which mightily works within me. – Colossians 1:28-29
