The OFBC Bible Study Hour is designed to help cultivate a biblical worldview. A worldview is defined by The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, 2000 as 1). the overall perspective from which one sees and interprets the world, and 2). a collection of beliefs about life and the universe held by an individual or a group. During the OFBC Bible Study Hour, a biblical worldview is cultivated by studying and applying the revealed truth of God’s Word from Genesis through Revelation to the areas of life, death, and eternity.
Bible Study Hour groups its courses on three tracks, or categories. The Christian Life track grounds us in the foundational disciplines of the Christian life and applies God’s wisdom to our relationships. The Bible track seeks to improve our understanding of and handling of Scripture. The Theology and History track exposes us to the history and doctrine both of our church and of Christianity throughout the ages. Styled as lectures, each class seeks to communicate truth while encouraging more interaction with the material in outside conversations.
